Please note that services, hours and costs at these clinics vary, so you may find it helpful to click on the clinic website for more information.

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all dental clinics that provide such services. In addition, many private practice dentists who are not listed here provide care to those who are enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs (Medical Assistance, Minnesota Care, and General Assistance Medical Care).

Be sure to also check the bottom of this list for special resources where limited amounts of free dental care are offered under certain circumstances.

Smiles Change Lives
*Provides orthodontic care in private orthodontic offices throughout the state for children ages 11-18 who have a significant malocclusion, can be treated in one stage, have good oral hygiene and cannot afford orthodontic treatment.  Applicants need to be below 200% of the federal poverty level.  If accepted into the program, the orthodontic treatment fee is $250.  The clinical screening is done at the University of Minnesota.  For an application call 888-900-3554.

Collin County helps fund non-profit health care providers and clinics throughout the area that offer a variety of health care needs from visual screenings for kids to prescription assistance to medical help for seniors. Included in the listings below, we’ve posted a brief summary of what these caring organizations did with county taxpayer funding from September 2008 through March 2009. Eligible residents may apply for these benefits at the individual clinic locations listed below:

Who is Eligible for Clinic Services:

Public health services are available to all residents of Sacramento County. Charges for public health services vary. Mom looking for health insurance coverage for 19-yo son going out of state to college

Hi.  I'm a mom of a 19-year-old son who will be leaving here (MD) to attend college in Pittsburgh (PA) the middle of January.  Our health insurance is through my husband's employer and unfortunately will not cover costs outside of this state, except in the case of emergencies.  The school provided us with an insurance plan my son would be elligible for, but the premiums are expensive and I don't think we would be able to afford that.  Not only that, but my son has ADHD and depression, for which he is on medications.  The maximum the insurance company through the school would cover for medications is $100, and he would probably exceed that within the first three months.  Is anyone aware of a program for health insurance for college students that is affordable?  Or is there anyone familiar with a medical clinic in the Pittsburgh area that woud take him on as a patient?  He will not have a car, but both my husband's family and my family are there and could take him to the doctor's if needed.  I guess if worse came to worse, we could make monthly trips to Pittsburgh to give him his meds, and he could just go to a clinic in Walgreen's etc. when he got sick.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
